The music of E4 aims to share harmonies and highly melodic material while adding an exploratory and curious nature to the work of contemporary icons such as Herbie Hancock and Brad Mehldau. Keeping elements from the traditions of the old and melding with the traditions of the new results in a fresh, exhilarating and truly distinct line. Making a name for himself in the Manitoba music scene, Eric St. Godard has worked with some of the province’s top jazz musicians. His newly formed quartet, The E4, brings forth powerful Manitoban jazz musicians-a force to be reckoned with in the Canadian jazz scenes.
