Called a “virtuoso” by DownBeat Magazine and an “eloquent musical contrabassist” by the WholeNote, Swiss Canadian upright and electric bassist, composer and bandleader Jesse Dietschi, is equally fluent in the jazz, classical, and funk / R&B idioms. Performing frequently with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Canadian Opera Company, and Sinfonia Toronto.
