Bridging the gap between the past and the future of modern jazz, the John Lee Trio embraces a “straight ahead' sound based in the traditions of the Great American Songbook with a contemporary improvisational approach. Multi-instrumentalist Lee is also one of the highest acclaimed jazz artists nationwide, having studied in Boston at the Berklee College of Music. Relocating back to the west coast 2016, Lee began his professional career with an association with internationally recognized Jazz saxophonist and impresario Cory Weeds and has shared the stage with the who's who of the Jazz world since—highlights including Terell Stafford, Roy McCurdy, Ralph Moore, Jeremy Pelt, Eric Alexander, Joe Farnsworth, Peter Bernstein, Benny Benack III, Alexander Claffy, Mike LeDonne, Lucy Yeghiazaryan, Michael Weiss and Joe Magnarelli.
