Timed with Gender Equality Week, the Museum & Archives of Vernon is proud to present Votes, Voices, Victory! The Lasting Legacy of Women’s Suffrage in the Okanagan.

As the first ever full-length exhibition to focus on women’s suffrage in the Okanagan, Votes, Voices, Victory! offers a unique opportunity to engage with this important history through the collections of the Museum & Archives of Vernon. The exhibit will run from September 25th to February 28th 

We would like to invite community members to celebrate the opening of this exhibit with an Opening Reception on September 25th.  Join us for an elevated evening with special speakers, a curatorial talk, wine, and charcuterie. Be one of the first to experience the MAV’s new exhibit on women’s suffrage in the Okanagan.

There will be a short program followed by mingling, refreshments and exploration of the exhibit.  Doors are open until 10pm. This is A 19+ only event.

Regular admission Adults – $23 | Seniors & Members – $18. Tickets can be purchased at the Museum or online.

We will also be offering a special screening of the acclaimed film Suffragette at the Towne Theatre on October 8th. Tickets can be purchased through the Towne Theatre.
