Description
This April marks 8 years since the Toxic Drug Crisis was first declared in British Columbia. In these past 8 years, more than 14,000 loved ones – parents, children, siblings, partners, friends – have died. 2023 was the deadliest year on record – we continue to lose 7 people each day.
Please join us for a Walk to Support Ending the Toxic Drug Crisis on Friday April 12 at 3:15pm at the Downtown MHSU Clinic - 3306A 32nd Ave, organized by the IH Peer Team. The plan is to begin and end at the Downtown MHSU Clinic by walking a loop in downtown Vernon – anyone is welcome to join for as much or as little of the walk that they can. If you cannot join us, but wish to support this cause, please wear a purple ribbon when you go to work this Friday. Lets honour the people who have lost their lives to poisoned drugs & call for change.
